We all know trying to find the right food for your pet can be a difficult choice. There are so many foods out there that we don’t know where to start. Here at Paxton Vet Clinics we recommend a high quality diet called Hills Vet Essentials, this is veterinary exclusive diet and can only be found in Veterinary Clinics.

Hills Vet Essentials diet comes as a dry kibble diet for dogs and cats, as well as sachets for cats. The food is especially formulated for the differing the life stages of our pets – from Puppy/Kitten, to Adult and Mature Adult.

1. PUPPY

vetessentialsHills Vet Essentials Puppy comes in 3 different sizes depending on the breed: Mini (for those who are expected to be under 10kg at their adult weight), Standard and Large Breed.

This food is especially formulated to help with your puppy’s essential health needs giving them:

Immunity- Clinically proven antioxidants with high levels of vitamin E to support a healthy immune system.

Vitality- Precise balance of minerals and omega-3 fatty acids for healthy bone and joint development.

Digestion- Highly digestible proteins and a balance of fibre to support a healthy digestive tract.

Oral Health- Precise balance of vitamins and minerals for healthy development of teeth.

Skin & Coat- High levels og omega-6 fatty acids help promote healthy skin and shiny coat.

2. KITTEN

Hills Vet Essentials Kitten has the same essential needs as the puppy but with the added:

Supports Urinary Health- Helps to maintain health urinary tract through controlled levels of mineral and pH.

3. CANINE ADULT

This diet also comes in different breed sizes. This is very similar to the essential needs of a puppy but without the Immunity which adults should already have developed. Instead we have support for:

Weight- Appropriate levels of protein and fat to help maintain the ideal weight.

4. FELINE ADULT

Again this is the same as the Kitten food but with the added factor of the appropriate levels of protein and fat to help maintain the ideal body weight, which will be very different between a growing kitten and an adult cat.

5. CANINE AND FELINE MATURE DIETS

Mature Adult diet is similar to the Adult food but with added support for:

Vital Organs- Controlled levels of sodium and phosphorous to support healthy vital organ function, particularly kidneys.
