Both Dotong and Hector won prizes in the Golden Oldie class at the Crystal Palace Festival. As part of their prize, they won a complete health check at the Clinics – this is like a full body MOT, including a nose to tail examination by the Vet, a full blood test to check their body systems, urinalysis, blood pressure, and eye check.
We advise these checks regularly for our older patients, as they are masters of disguise, and often hide issues until they become more serious. The sooner we find out if there are underlying issues common to our older patients (such as kidney disease, high blood pressure or dental disease) the more likely we are to be able to put a management plan in place to treat, or to prevent progression.
If you would like a “Senior Health Check” for your dog or cat, then give us a call today, and we can talk it through further.
Hector is having his heart rate, rhythm and lung sounds auscultated by our Vet Anna, as part of his MOT
Dotong having his blood pressure checked. This is done in much the same way as a humans, and is non invasive and non painful. High blood pressure is another common issue with older patients, and if left unchecked, can lead to issues with nearly all the major organs
Theo was brought to the clinic I was working in 2 years ago, at just a few days old….
A huge HIGH FIVE to Becky for gaining DISTINCTION in her course in Feline Nursing!
Welcome to the Paxton Family little fella
